Grandpa hacked dead over missing chickens

POZORRUBIO, Pangasinan — A 76-year-old man was hacked to death Saturday afternoon by his two neighbors over missing chickens in Barangay Balacag, here.
A report from the Pozorrubio Municipal Police Station led by Chief Inspector Domingo Soriano identified the victim as Caludio Neto, a resident of Barangay Balacag, Pozorrubio.
Police said the suspects, brothers Oscar and Ely Nacis, residents of the same barangay escaped after the incident and are now the subject of a manhunt.
Probers learned that the killing occurred after the victim and the suspects accused each other as the ones responsible for the reported disappearance of chickens in their neighborhood.
Neto was rushed by his son, Willy, to the hospital but he succumbed to multiple hack wounds in the body.
Investigators recovered from the crime scene two bolos owned by the Nacis brothers.
